Early intervention may not only shorten the duration of later treatment time but may also allow avoidance of braces altogether.

Children at around age eight who have crowded front teeth and start early orthodontic treatment may avoid the need to extract permanent teeth later.

Dr. Ari Kupietzky has advanced training in first phase orthodontics. Many cases of crooked teeth may be recognized at an early age. In some instances, delaying treatment until age 12 or older may result in a more severe problem.
